1. Seminar Hours

Hours vary by program, but day classes normally run from 8:30 to 4:30 and evening classes run 6:00 to 9:00.

2. Promotional Discount Restrictions / Team Discounts
When multiple people (3 or more) register for the same course (same location, same date) at the same time, with payment being made upon registration, each person will receive a 15% discount on that course, and it is considered a Team Discount. Registrants eligible for a team discount should call one of our training consultants at 1-800-BU-TRAIN (288-7246) to register, rather than registering online. Also call for information on corporate volume discounts for onsite or public classes.

Team discounts do not apply to our online courses, boot camps, or Certificate in Applied Project Management Program. These discounts do not apply to any of the courses that are part of the Center of Professional Education.

Promotional discounts restrictions may not be applied to current registrations or new registrations within a 60 day period of a previous cancellation for the same or similar course. Discounts may not be applied to corporate, private onsite contracts. These discounts may not be combined with any other discounts. ELearning offerings, 1 day classes, boot camps and the Certificate in Applied Project Management programs are not eligible.

3. Refer a Friend Discount
If a person registers for a course and refers one person to register for the same, or other BUCEC courses, each person will receive $200 off of the course that they take. This offer cannot be combined with Team Discounts or any other special offer. Boot Camps, eLearning, and 1-day courses are not eligible for this discount. Discounts no longer apply if either registration is cancelled. Persons registering under the Refer a Friend Discount should call one of our training consultants at 1-800-BU-TRAIN (288-7346), rather than registering online. Also call for information on corporate volume discounts for onsite or public classes.

4. Satisfaction Guarantee
If you are not satisfied with your course for any reason, we will give you a full refund of the tuition, minus the cost of any materials not returned in their original condition. Written notification of your decision to cancel must be received by the end of the first day for daytime classes, or the end of the second evening for evening classes, to qualify for a full refund.

Students may retake the same seminar free of charge for up to six months after the class. Retakes are provided on a space available basis only. Students are responsible for bringing their own materials (or purchase new ones if theirs are outdated) and they will be charged for food and beverage.

5. Continuing Education Units (CEUs)
Continuing Education Units (CEUs) are nationally recognized standard units of measurement earned for satisfactory completion of qualified programs of continuing education.

Boston University Corporate Education Center seminar participants will be awarded 0.7 CEUs for each course day completed. If you need more information about CEUs, call 1-800-BU-TRAIN (288-7246)

6. Payment Policy
Payment is due before the first day of the seminar. Your seat is not confirmed until payment is received. Payment may be made by check or credit card.

Checks should be made payable to TechSkills, LLC and mailed to us at, 72 Tyng Road Tyngsboro, MA 01879-2099.

If you are making payment by credit card, American Express, MasterCard, Visa, and Discover cards are accepted. Please Note: Your credit card will be charged approximately two weeks prior to class start. Your receipt will be mailed to you when the credit card has been charged.

If you reserved your seat with a purchase order from your employer or sponsor, payment must be received within 30 days of the class date, or it may be subject to a late fee of 1.5% per month. Accounts sent to collection will be subject to any and all collection fees.

7. Cancellation and Rescheduling
Course fees for public registration courses are fully refundable if the Corporate Education Group receives written communication of the cancellation or reschedule before the 14th day before the course start date. The Corporate Education Group will accept notification via U.S. mail, fax, or the Corporate Education Group email address. See below for contact information.

Cancellation or reschedule requests received between 14 and 7 days before a course start date will be charged a fee equal to 25% of the course fee. Cancellation or reschedule requests received fewer than 7 days before a course start date will be charged a fee equal to 50% of the course fee.

Cancellation of Six Sigma eGreen and/or eBlack Belt programs, within 30 days of enrollment, will result in a net charge $300 or $500 fee respectively. You will be refunded the balance of the registration fee. After 30 days of enrollment, there is no refund of the registration fee. Minitab software purchase is also non-refundable.

If you fail to attend the course without giving notification to the Corporate Education Group prior to the start of the class, the full course fee will be charged. In most cases, a substitute may be sent in your place to avoid penalties. Call your Training Consultant for more details. Credit card payment refunds must be credited to the same credit card account number.

8. Grade Requirement
If you require a letter grade for your participation, you must request the grade from your training consultant, in writing, at least 5 days prior to the beginning of your class. Grades will be based on the instructor's assessment of the following criteria:
  • Participation in class, including all discussions and question and answer sessions.
  • Completion of all class exercises, case studies, and individual work.
  • Where applicable, grades on quizzes.
9. Classroom Policies
The courses included in this catalog are intensive and require students' full attention during class. To receive a certificate of completion for continuing education units (CEU's) and Professional Education Units (PDUs) students must have attended at least 90% of the seminar. Casual business dress is appropriate for all courses. Audio recording and videotaping are prohibited.
